Copernicus digital skills
EASME has launched a Call for Tenders for supporting Copernicus digital skills initiatives. The envisaged support action will have to foster the development of the technical and scientific skills needed in the domains of space data and geo-information systems.

COSME
COSME is the EU programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Running from 2014 to 2020 with a planned budget of €2.3bn, it will support: a better access to finance for SMEs, an access to markets for SMEs, entrepreneurship, and more favourable conditions for business creation and growth.

Copernicus Prizes
The Copernicus Prizes powered by the European Commission (EC) are organised in the context of the Copernicus Masters. They foster the involvement of organisations across Europe to actively push the objectives of the Copernicus Start-up Programme and gain innovation advantages for their country, region or institution with new business ideas, co-funded by EC with up to EUR 10,000. Besides the co-funding of the Copernicus Prizes, EC contributes with topic-specific challenges as a Challenge Partner to the Copernicus Masters, the leading innovation competition for Earth observation, which is open every year from 1 April until 30 June.

ESA has launched an opportunity to offer funding and support to companies for the business case assessment and development of new space enabled Internet of things (IoT) services that target relevant customer needs.
Copernicus Incubation Programme
The European Commission has launched a call for the organisation of the Copernicus Incubation Programme, which aims to promote start-up creation and growth in the Copernicus downstream sector.
Once implemented, the programme will finance the incubation of 20 start-ups in Europe every year for 3 years.
Kick-start Activities: Automated Road Transport
This call for Kick-start Activities is dedicated to the theme "Automated Road Transport". It is open to ideas for services addressed to local authorities, infrastructure/road operators, public transport operators, logistics companies, private drivers, fleet operator and other relevant stakeholders in this sector.
Quantifying risk and recovery of disasters
The European Commission has launched the third call for expression of interest for a number of risk and recovery activations through its Copernicus Emergency Management Service for Risk and Recovery Mapping. The call addresses stakeholders in the field of disaster management, civil protection and members of NGOs working in the humanitarian field throughout the world.
Erasmus+ Call for Sector Skills Alliances
The Call focuses on skill needs identification (Lot 1), design and delivery of Vocational, Education and Training (Lot 2) and implementing a new strategic approach called "Blueprint" (Lot 3). The Call targets a partnership for skills in 6 pilot sectors, among which "Space - Geo-Information".
Engaging SMEs in space R&D (Call SMEInst-04-2016-2017)
This call aims to the threshold for SMEs to participate in H2020 calls, and includes coaching and mentoring for SMEs. Applications can cover any aspect of the Specific Programme for Space, and is especially useful for SMEs developing new technologies and applications with Copernicus data.

This call aims to allow SMEs to innovate and grow across traditional boundaries, through new business models and organisational change, and includes coaching and mentoring for SMEs.
