Copernicus Relays
As part of the Space Strategy for Europe, the European Commission has established a network of Copernicus ambassadors: the Copernicus Relays.
The Copernicus Relays have been in place since the first quarter of 2017. They act as local champions, coordinating and promoting activities around Copernicus, its benefits and opportunities for local residents and businesses.
The members of this global community are the representatives of Copernicus on the ground and will be promoting the benefits of the Earth Observation component of the EU Space programme.
They are the voice, but also the eyes and the ears of the European Commission at local and regional level to ensure that user needs are integrated into Copernicus and to maximise its use at local and operational level.
The network is part of a wider toolkit of initiatives designed to provide information about the programme and address any concerns from citizens about accessing data and information from Copernicus. In addition, these localised one-stop shops spread the word about opportunities set up by the European Commission to support the development of innovative applications and new business models.

Don't miss your chance to be part of an international network of stakeholders! Apply now via the Online Application Form.
--> Please be aware that the same organisation can only apply for one network, either the Relays or the Academy.
Furthermore, applications coming from an entity or organisation which is already a network member cannot be considered eligible (e.g. a department from a University that is already represented by another department). Nevertheless, interested stakeholders can be put in contact with members that act in the same local area or belong to the same entity, to be involved in the network as a consortium.
For any question about the Copernicus Relays, including how to join, please contact the Copernicus Support Office by email.
