EU Space Webinar - CDSE: Sentinel Hub APIs
28/05/2024 to28/05/2024
Online event
We are pleased to invite you to this Webinar series dedicated to the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE):
CDSE: Sentinel Hub APIs
Tuesday 28 May 2024 at 17:00 CET
Online on Swapcard
The Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) was launched in January 2023 as a next step in the evolution of Earth Observation data services. It replaces the Copernicus Open Access Hub which ceased operations in November 2023 and the DIASes.
The ecosystem offers immediate access to large amounts of open and free Earth Observation data from the Copernicus Sentinel satellites, including both new and historical Sentinel images, as well as the Copernicus Contributing Missions and selected data sets from Copernicus Services. It empowers users with the tools and resources they need to unlock the full potential of Copernicus data.
The Application Programming Interface (API) is an intermediary that allows applications to access the features or data of another application or system. The Sentinel Hub APIs allow users to process satellite data and integrate it into their own applications.
In this webinar William Ray will give an overview of the various Sentinel Hub APIs provided by the CDSE, and their functionalities, including:
- Processing API
- Catalog API
- Statistical API
William Ray (CDSE Remote Sensing Engineer) will demonstrate the APIs using Jupyter Notebooks and the Request Builder app and will discuss other APIs available for users who wish to scale up their workflows to larger areas.
