Since the first Copernicus satellite Sentinel-1A entered service in 2014, the impacts of the programme are witnessed beyond the upstream industry, and bring economic, social, environmental and strategic benefits to the European EO downstream sector as well as to the wider community of final users. These fact sheets demonstrate tangible examples of cost reductions, additional revenues or environmental improvements which are great illustrations of the contributions Copernicus can generate for both EO applications developers and non space markets.
